BUILDING COMMUNITY YOUR NEXT STEP?
Our Community Groups are the way we make a big church feel small. Groups meet here on campus and all across the Shoals and simply do life together; laughing, growing and pursuing Jesus in all seasons of life. Life is not meant to be lived alone. We encourage you to get in a Community Group so that you get to experience gospel-centered community with others while pursuing God, growing together, and being an extension of Jesus in the Shoals together.
In community, you will discover purpose, intentionally grow, and build healthy relationships. Community Groups meet throughout the month and all throughout the Shoals. Each group is as different as the people that make up the group. Each group may be different but they all include four key components, GROWTH, PRAYER, CONNECTION, and MISSION. Every group connects through like passions, area of life, like interests, or common ambitions.
WHAT IS A COMMUNITY GROUP?
Community Groups are an exciting way for you to meet and connect with others at Chapel! By meeting in homes across the area, Community Groups provide a fun-filled, relaxing environment for people to engage in meaningful relationships by doing life together. Community Groups are focused on building relationships, growing together in your walk with God and praying for one another. They make a big church feel small!
HOW ARE GROUPS STRUCTURED?
Community Groups are comprised of 5-12 people who meet throughout the month all throughout the area. Groups are available for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity. To get started you will search for a group based on your stage of life (adults, young adults, men, and women only groups, etc.). From there you can read the descriptions of the various groups to find a group that’s a good fit for you.
WHEN DO COMMUNITY GROUPS MEET?
Groups meet at varying locations and varying times throughout the month. Groups meet weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL GROUP MEETING LIKE?
Some groups have snacks or dinner each week so typically the group will begin by enjoying some good food. Then you would move into a time of discussion sermon followed by praying for one another’s needs. Some groups also plan fun activities together such as Golf, Bowling, Sand Volleyball and coffee.
